Judith Hanes, 70

Judith Ray Hanes age 70 died Jan. 15, 2013, at Southern Ohio Medical Center. She was born Oct. 17 , 1942, in Portsmouth to the late James Raymond Kennedy and Alta May Kennedy.

She was a former fancy stitcher for Williams Shoe Factory and a member of Jackson Street Apostolic Gospel Church.

Besides her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband, Donald William Hanes on Oct. 23 , 1981 . They were married Jan. 19 , 1970, in New Boston, Ohio.

She is survived by two sons, William Mark Hanes and Stephen Matthew Hanes, one daughter, Susan Pedroso, two brothers, James David Kennedy and Terry Lee Kennedy, two sisters, Carolyn Sue Blanton and Jeanne Louise Egerton, six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Friday, Jan. 18 , 2013 at 11:30 a.m. at Jackson Street Apostolic Gospel Church with Pastor Robert Coffey officiating. Burial will be in Wheelersburg Cemetery. Friends may call at the church Friday from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Arrangements are under the direction of Harrison- Pyles Funeral Home in Wheelersburg.
