Denver Moore, 80

Denver ”Den Den” Moore, 80, of South Shore, Ky. passed away Jan. 5, 2013, at his residence. He was born Dec. 7, 1932, in Johnson County Ky., a son of the late Ray Moore and Susie Hamilton Moore. He was a retired electrician of Boswell Electric and a third generation employee of South Shore Water Works, a member of the Portsmouth Motorcycle Club, Portsmouth Boat club, Moose Lodge and a member of the Jenny Wiley Trail Board.

Preceded in death by his wife, Mary Lou Moore, a son, Jerry Moore and one sister, Gwonola Bunker, one brother, Garland “Ted” Moore.

Surviving are one daughter, Robyn Rogers of Fort Dix, N.J., two granddaughters, Jessica Moore Birch and Kimberly Moore Blevins, seven great grandchildren, two brothers, Walter Swords and Ronnie Swords both of Baltimore, Md., one sister, Betty Ann Bellerain of Ocean City, Md.

Funeral services 1 p.m. Friday Jan. 11, 2013, at the Roberson Funeral Home in South Shore, Ky. with Rev. Norman Potter, officiating. Burial in Siloam Cemetery in South Shore, Ky. Friends may call at the Roberson Funeral Home from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Thursday and from 11 a.m. until the Funeral hour at 1 p.m. on Friday.
