A Scioto County man has reportedly told authorities it was he and another man who set about destroying property in the Bloom Local School District on Saturday, Dec. 29.

Two vehicles, a black Jeep and a gray or primer Ford Ranger, were caught on video damaging property. The vehicles created ruts in the front yard of Bloom Elementary School, creating $550 in damages; ran over a cherry tree in front of South Webster High School, resulting in $250 in damages; destroyed a bus sign and two posts, causing $600 in damages; knocked over a handicap sign and post, at a value of $500.

According to the Scioto County Sheriff’s Office, no charges have been filed against the three people, including one 17-year-old, they say were involved. One man told them he and another adult man caused the damage and that they were to get together with school officials about paying for that damage.
