The Bible tells us that even the Son or engels in heaven don’t know when the end of time is. I believe that all the money that has been made off of the world ending on Dec. 21, 2012 and about the Mayan calendar should be given to charity.

It’s sad that their so called scientists and professors and all the television stations have scared children and adults. They should have to pay for what they have done. What’s the difference than a person threatening to kill a person, then their so called experts threatening everybody. It just turns my stomach.

I hate to tell all of you dooms day preppers that it doesn’t matter how deep you get in the ground or how much steel you have around you, or your water or food you have, you won’t be able to hide from Christ when he comes back. All you have to do is just accept him as your Savior.

Rev. 1-1:3 tells us future events, but there is not a gloomy pessimism, we might expect, the drama of the unfolding events is spectacular, and there is nothing to fear if you are on the winning side.

When you think abou thte future, walk with confidence because Christ, the Victor, walks with you. When the end does come, there won’t be a door on a church left because that’s when people will kick them down just to get to the alter. Why wait accept him now.

The only thing we can do now is just wait for those so called scientists and professors to pick another date. I have a date for them, March 8, 2013, that’s my birthday.

Steve Hamilton

Steve, as a Believer, I understand the Bible says we don't know when the end of days will arrive. That's fine with me, because I don't want to know. As for the rest of your letter, you show both arrogance and ignorance. First, no reputable scientist or professor said the end of days would come at the end of the Mayan calendar. If you actually bothered to read articles or books about it, or watch TV documentaries (History and Discovery channels were good sources), you would have understood that the Mayan experts were saying the Mayan calendar DID NOT end on Dec. 21, 2012. And the scientists assurred us that our sun has many millions of years of fuel left to keep us warm here on Earth. Believing the few "so-called scientists and professors" (your words) who predicted the end of days is like believing the few "so-called scientists" who still deny global warming/climate change. They exist, but they are not among the majority. You seem well educated about the Bible. Try getting an education in science, too, before pretending you understand it. God bless you, my brother.

Did the editor post this as a joke or does he agree with this?

I hate to you tell, Steve Hamilton, when Wal-Mart or Kroger's delicate supply line is disrupted by any one of endless possibilities and McDonald's no longer is throwing hamburgers out their window. Your gonna have to eat that Bible your quoting because you won't have any food.

Since when did being prepared and being able to take care of yourself become such a wild and crazy idea?

Personally I did not listen to any of the end of the world nonsense nor bought into any of it. Apparently you did since you are whining about anyone who maybe sold a book about the topic profited. Maybe every sports analyst on ESPN should have to donate their salary to charity anytime they predict the wrong winner of a football game.

You seem pretty worried about "the end of the world" which I have no idea why since you claim to be on the "winning side".

These so-called religious people who run around bad mouthing and putting down people who do not share their point of view has to be against the preachings somewhere. Find me a verse about that Steve.

Touche' OT (not old testament, cause it's the Hebrew scriptures, ask Frank)

There's a start below, and they won't find in The Word, things against what they do......Naw....

Yeah, he may have some personal issues too. The current Ptown Mayor Malone use to preach and pray on the city building front steps. Perhaps Hamilton is going for Mayor of NB, heard about that.

Is this the guy who works for NB city government? HE's not supposed to be publicly into religion too, separation of church and state. au.org

Here's a couple on Judgement and who does it.

Luke 6:37 ESV / 257 helpful votes

“Judge not, and you will not be judged; condemn not, and you will not be condemned; forgive, and you will be forgiven;

Matthew 7:1-5 ESV / 250 helpful votes

“Judge not, that you be not judged. For with the judgment you pronounce you will be judged, and with the measure you use it will be measured to you. Why do you see the speck that is in your brother's eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye? Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when there is the log in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother's eye. Amen.....

Your comment is so true Steve, I wish there were more people who knew the truth about the Lords coming.

Now, the Mayan calendar did end, though speculation on the end of the world did not?

Just where is your Christ, and when should we pencil HIM in in our Day Timer Calenders? Come on, now, don't hedge, on those of us who dun't know.......Those in the First Century Church thought it would be in their Life time. oops.

Where and When is your Altar Call? Look in your Bible, you mis-lead us and you will end up in the Lake of Fire or is it, a deep ocean. Your Bible claims to be where we now know outer space is.
