The New Boston Local School District invites the community to join them Thursday afternoon for the public dedication ceremony of their new Pre-K through 12 school building.

The district passed a local levy to build new schools in 2008, and broke ground in April 2011. Originally expecting to open in June, the new school — located on Lakeview Avenue and the newly created Glenwood Tiger Trail behind the New Boston Stadium — opened to students on Nov. 19 after a series of construction delays and setbacks.

The school opened its doors for a public open house on Nov. 21, but the new gymnasium was still not complete and was off-limits at the time. Now the gym is finished — christened with a win by New Boston girls basketball at their Nov. 26 opener — and the public is invited to join the school inside the gym for the dedication ceremony.

The free, public dedication ceremony will be Thursday, Dec. 13, at 1 p.m. in the Tiger’s Lair gymnasium at the new school.
