Vancil Deemer, 74

Vancil L. Deemer, 74, of Minford, died Sunday, Dec. 9, 2012 at SOMC. Born Sept. 9, 1938, in Scioto County, son of the late Raymond and Hazel L. Culp Deemer, he was a supervisor for Westinghouse and retired from Minford Local Schools. He was a member of the V.F.W. in Beaver and was a Navy veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Patsy Galloway Deemer; one daughter, Brenda (Barney) Dunlap of Minford; one son, Keith Deemer and Tommy Brammer of Minford; three stepchildren, Rebecca (Jerry) Yazell of Minford, Jonathen (Mandy) Lindamood of Lancaster, Benji (Chrissy) Lindamood of Lucasville; one grandson, Eric Dunlap of Nitro, W.Va.; eight step-grandchildren; one brother, Ronald (Linda) Deemer of Minford, and one sister, Jean Landrum of Florida. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Curtis Deemer.

Memorial services will be conducted at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 14, 2012, at Erwin-Dodson-Allen Funeral Home in Minford with Pastor Tim Palla officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. prior to the service. Online condolences may be sent to www.edafh.com.
