Wanda Peach, 82

Wanda Faye Peach, 82, of Hill View Retirement Center, died Sunday, Dec. 2, 2012, at Hill View. Born May 3, 1930, in Blue Creek, she was a daughter of the late Elca and Alberta Bolender May, and was an elementary school teacher. Wanda was a graduate of Jefferson High School and the Ohio University, and was formerly employed at Montgomery Wards, Rinks and Jim Peach Insurance. She was especially fond of her flower gardens. Also preceding her in death was her husband of 54 years, Charles E. Peach, whom she married in 1950 at Boulevard United Methodist Church. Two brothers, Eugene May and Carl May also preceded her in death. Surviving are three sons, Thomas (Mary) Peach and James (Laura) Peach, all of Portsmouth and Charles (Tammy) Peach of Wheelersburg; a brother, Robert May of Columbus and eight grandchildren, Andrew, Steven, Jamee, Lindsay, Amy, Alex, Brad and Brian. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday at the BRANT FUNERAL HOME IN PORTSMOUTH with Rev. John Robbins officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Burial Park. The family will receive friends at Brant’s in Portsmouth from 5 until 8 p.m. on Thursday. Memorial contributions may be made to SOMC Hospice or Hill View Wesley Village.
