Four arrested for Waverly burglaries

An investigation by the Waverly Police Department into a rash of thefts and burglaries has resulted in several arrests.

Sergeant Dennis Crabtree on Wednesday arrested Jon-Isac R. Blevins, age 24, of 4110 Bobo Road, in Waverly, and charged him with aggravated burglary.

Patrolman Tim Cochenour took Zachary A. Atencio, age 28, of 501 Short Street, in Waverly, into custody and charged him with breaking and entering. Cochenour also charged Robert A. Hill, age 31, of 314 Lucas Street, in Piketon, with burglary and breaking and entering.

Patrolman Shaun Fyffe arrested Larry Nickell, age 29, of 428 Dean Street, in Waverly, and charged him with four counts of breaking and entering.

Waverly Police Chief Larry Roe said the investigation is continuing under the direction of Sgt. Crabtree and and he said more charges and arrests will be forthcoming.

“We are still asking for the help of residents, that they report any and all suspicious activity in their neighborhood to the police department,” Roe said.
