Edward Payne Willis, 72

Edward Payne Willis, 72 of West Portsmouth died Monday, Nov. 19, 2012 ,at SOMC Hospice. He was born Dec. 20, 1939, in Sciotoville to the late Harry and Elizabeth Payne Willis. He was a retired machinist and owned Custom Machine and Metal Fabrication. He was an Honorary Kentucky Colonel, and Honorary Admiral of Kentucky Waterways and Byways and a former member of the Washington Township Volunteer Fire Department.

Ed is survived by two daughters; Sherry Lynn (Roger) Vernier and Kimberly M. (Scott) Coleman all of West Portsmouth, two sons; Edward P Willis II (Finance Ginger Hoover) of Lucasville and Jason Matthew (Erica)Willis of Portsmouth, a brother Harry H. Willis of Pleasant Hill Missouri and a sister Patricia Hillard of Savannah, Ga., six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. He is also survived by his former wife and mother of his children, Donna Willis of West Portsmouth.

Funeral services will be 6 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2012, at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday starting at 2 p.m. Condolences may be sent to www.rogerwdavisfuneralhome.com
