Larry J. Howe, 67
Larry Joseph Howe, 67, of Hilliard, died peacefully at his home Monday, Nov. 12, 2012. He was born July 19, 1945, in Portsmouth, a son of the late Joseph Marion and Ruth Isabel Roberts Howe.
Larry was reared in West Portsmouth and served in the U.S. Navy. He settled in Columbus, Ohio and was a life-long outdoorsman, avid bicyclist and a welder.
Surviving is his wife, Brenda Fay Carver Howe, whom he married July 2, 1964, in West Portsmouth; a son, Stephen Joseph (Pam) Howe of Columbus; a daughter, Lori Ann Howe of Laramie, WY; a brother, Randy Howe of Russell, KY; a sister, Janet Damron of Columbus; two stepchildren, Patrick and Michelle Fallon; three step-grandchildren, Carson, Fallon and Jayla; beloved cats, Sockie and Tom Tom; and dear friend, Randy Postlewait. Larry will be greatly missed.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the RALPH F. SCOTT FUNERAL HOME in Portsmouth with Rev. Peter Michael officiating. Military rites will be conducted by the James Dickey Post American Legion Honor Detail.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m., and Thursday from 10 to 11 a.m.
