Nora Eagle, 79

Nora Alice Eagle, 79, of McDermott, went to be with the Lord, Monday, Oct. 29, 2012, at SOMC Hospice. She was born March 30, 1933, in Rarden, a daughter of the late Barry Doc and Minnie King Ward.

Nora was a homemaker, President of the Rush Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary, and a member of the McDermott Freewill Baptist Church. Her favorite hobby was making delicious pies.

She is survived by one son, Robert E. (Mary Jo) Eagle of McDermott; one daughter Debra Mae Smith of Lucasville; six grandchildren Matt (Dottie) Smith of Lucasville, Eric (Lisa) Smith of Franklin Furnace, Adam Smith of Lucasville, Christa (Matthew) Stiverson of Milford, Ohio, and Molly (Patrick) Montgomery of Lucasville; eight great-grandchildren; four brothers Earnel Ward of Peebles, Harley Ward of Toledo, Wash., Jimmie Ward of Oregon City, Ore., Edward Ward of Piketon; three sisters Marie Blankenship and Betty Wilson of Hillsboro, and Kay Sanno of Port Royal, Pennsylvania.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert Edward Eagle, Nov. 24, 2011; two brothers Dave and Bobby Ward; one sister Leona Setty, and her son-in-law, Floyd Russell Smith.

Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 1, 2012, at the McKinley Funeral Home in Lucasville with Keith Monroe officiating. Burial will follow in Scioto Burial Park. Friends may call 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Wednesday and for an hour before the service Thursday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the McDermott Freewill Baptist Church, PO Box 265, McDermott, Ohio 45652.
