West throttles Nortwest 33-0

PDT Sports Report

West improved to 4-5 and now has a chance to finish it’s record at an even number after Friday’s 33-0 win over Northwest (0-8, 0-3).

Austin Bricker opened West’s scoring deluge with a 14-yard run in the first quarter and Zach Frye hauled in a 20-yard pass from Steve Irwin to make it 14-0 West.

Irwin added a 40-yard scoring run in the second quarter and Alec Meeker tacked on a 4-yard TD to make it 27-0 West in the third quarter.

Dylan Koons chipped in with a 19-yard score in the fourth quarter and the 2-point conversion failed to bring the final tally to 33-0 West.

Bricker and Meeker each eclipsed 100 yards rushing for the Senators with 132 and 101 respectively.

West wraps up its 2012 season by hosting Wheelersburg next week while the Mohawks finish by hosting Waverly.
