Alvis Harr, 85
Alvis Spry Harr, 85, of West Portsmouth, went to be with our Lord, Oct. 11, 2012, in SOMC Hospice in Portsmouth. He was born at Load, Ky.; a son of the late Ted Harr and Estella Spry Harr.
He was a retired construction roofer and a member of the Smith Branch Church of God, Greenup, Ky.
Surviving are his wife, Charlotte Harr, three daughters, Keneda K. Bradley Bentley of Minford, Diann Morgan of West Portsmouth, Iva “Frank” Sanford of Myrtle Beach, S.C., five sons, Carlos “Rosie” Harr of West Portsmouth, Stanley “Linda” Harr of Turtle Lake, N.D., Estel Harr of West Portsmouth, and Slade “Treasa” Harr of Columbus, and Justin Harr of Washington Court House, Ohio, he also leaves four step children, Roxann, Marie, Kenny and Rick, several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews and a host of friends. He will be missed very much.
Funeral services 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 15, 2012 at the Roberson Funeral Home Chapel, with, Brother Scott Robinson, officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery. Friends may call at the Roberson Funeral Home Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. and from 9 a.m. until the funeral hour on Monday.
