A Portsmouth man who formerly operated a pain relief center in Portsmouth is one of three people indicted in federal court in Kentucky.
Jody Robinson, 37, of 233 Edendale Rd., Portsmouth, who was the former manager of the Ohio Pain Relief Center once located on Old Scioto Trail in Rosemount, is charged with engaging in a conspiracy to illegally distribute prescription narcotics in northeastern Kentucky.
A Florida physician, Dr. Clara S. Rodriguez-Iznaga was arraigned earlier in the week in federal court in Ashland, Kentucky, charged along with Robinson and William James Muldoon, Jr.
According to the indictment, Robinson was the owner of two pain management clinics. In addition to the Portsmouth clinic, he is also said to have operated Florida Global Medical in Plantation, Florida, where Rodriguez-Iznaga worked.
In January, Robinson was indicted on 82 counts of trafficking in drugs and one count of engaging in a pattern of corrupt activity, after being arrested by the Scioto County Sheriff’s Office at his residence on a warrant indictment issued by the Fairfield County (Ohio) Common Pleas Court.
