August Forbey, 72
August Jay Forbey, 72, of Portsmouth, died Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2012, at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus.
He was born April, 5, 1940, in Portsmouth to the late Raymond and Ilga Lena Webb Forbey. He was a Vietnam War Army Veteran and served 12 years after in the National Guard. He was retired from Ohio Department of Natural Resources where he was a Conservationist. Along with his parents August is preceded in death by a brother Raymond and four sisters; Ida Mae, Helen, Betty and Georgia.
He is survived Juanita McGraw Forbey, two daughters; Felicia (Mike) Isgett of West Portsmouth and Maria Lena Forbey of Portsmouth, three grandchildren; Rider, Scout and Sailor Isgett all of West Portsmouth and a nephew Fred Thomas (Jack) Jeffreys of Columbus.
Funeral services will be 4 p.m. Friday, Sept. 7, 2012, at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth. Interment will be in Friendship Cemetery with graveside military rites by James Dickey Post 23 American Legion.
