Evelyn DeLong, 63

Evelyn “Frankie” DeLong, age 63, of S.R. 772, Rarden, Ohio, died Sunday, Sept. 2, 2012, at Southern Ohio Medical Center in Portsmouth. She was born Feb. 24, 1949 in Portsmouth; a daughter of the late Joseph Earl and Laura Bell McClarey Miller. On April 10, 1988, she was united in marriage to Stephen DeLong who survives.

Also surviving are two sons, Christopher McCoy and wife Wynetta, and Michael McCoy and wife Pam, both of Rarden, one daughter, Malissa Monroe and husband Dale of Rarden, seven grandchildren, Austin McCoy, Alexus McCoy, and Grayce McCoy, Allie Lacy, Albert Lacy Jr., Brett McCoy and Dalton McCoy, and three sisters, Jo Ann Miller of Circleville, Ohio, Jenny Free of Peebles, Ohio, and Sandy Simon of Lucasville.

She was preceded in death by one sister, Judy Crabtree and two brothers, Tony Lee Miller and Bill Miller. Frankie was a retired nurses aid, having worked for 21 years at Edgewood Manor, Lucasville, and was an EMT for eight years with McDermott Squad Two.

Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Thursday, at the Botkin Funeral Home in Otway. Burial will follow in Harmon Cemetery. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
