Howard Ronald Lambert, 76
Howard Ronald Lambert, 76, of St. Rt. 124 Piketon, Ohio died Friday August 31, 2012 at the SOMC Hospice Center, Portsmouth, Ohio. He was born July 14, 1936 Peebles, Ohio to the late Pearl and Della Humphrey Lambert.
He was united in marriage on December 9, 1988 to Millie L. Jones Lambert who survives. Also surviving are a son, Bradley Scott Lambert and wife Lori of Wapakoneta, OH, one daughter, Angela Dawn Klinker and husband Tim of Pataskala, OH, and one granddaughter, Nicole LeAnn Klinker of Waverly. Two brothers: Wayne Lambert and wife Carol of Piketon, Ralph Lambert and wife Betty of Latham, four sisters: Irene Hall of Dublin, OH, Betty Leeth of Chillicothe, OH, Ruby Tackett and husband Roger of Peebles, OH, Faye Spriggs and husband Jeff of Waverly, and Esther Burkitt and husband George of Piketon. He was preceded in death by an infant son, Brian Keith Lambert, and one brother, Paul Lambert.
He was a retired Iron Worker, a member of the Iron Workers Union, Local #172 in Columbus, was a member of the Church of Christ in Christian Union, attended the Beavers Chapel Church, and served in the Infantry Division of the U.S. Army.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at the New Covenant C.CC.U. in Waverly with Terry Lawson and Mike Davis officiating. Burial will follow in the Gardner Cemetery with Military Graveside services conducted by American Legion-Merritt Post #142 of Waverly. Friends may call on Tuesday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the church.
