Stephanie K. Stamper, 29
Stephanie Kay Stamper, 29, of Portsmouth, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, August 9, 2012 in Portsmouth. She was born June 23, 1983 in Portsmouth, a daughter of Rachel Lee Scherer Howe and William “Jack” Stamper, Jr., who survive. Stephanie was a 2001 Minford High School graduate, and she was a former waitress at Applebee’s.
Surviving are her mother and stepfather, Rachel Lee (Scherer) and Lee Howe of Lucasville; her father, William “Jack” Stamper, Jr. of Lake City, FL; a son Brayden, and his father Brian Barney of Portsmouth; a daughter Kaylee, and her father Justin D. Donley of Waverly; a brother, William “Jack” Stamper III of Lake City; grandparents, Anna Lee Scherer of Portsmouth, and Myrtle and Gene Arms of Rubyville; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Stephanie was preceded in death by grandfathers, Robert L. Scherer and William “Bill” Stamper, Sr. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at the Ralph F. Scott Funeral Home in Portsmouth with Pastor Tom Charles officiating and interment in Greenlawn Cemetery.
