Teresa Orlett, 81

Teresa Orlett, 81, of Portsmouth, died Thursday Aug. 2, 2012, at SOMC Hospice. She was born Feb. 22, 1931, in Portsmouth, to the late Eugene and Ada Malone Cattee. Teresa worked for Williams Shoe Factory and later for Notre Dame Schools. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Teresa is survived by her husband of 59 years, Dick Orlett, three daughters; Catherine Barton of Wheelersburg, Deborah Gall of Newark, and Angela Fields of Portsmouth, five grandchildren; Nicholas and Alyson Gwinn, Christopher and Justin Jones, and Sarah Gall, five great-grandchildren; Josiah and Jillian Harmon, Alex Steele, and Tyler and Savannah Gall, a niece, and several great-nieces and great-nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters; Cecelia Cattee and Mary Hollen and a brother, Joseph Cattee.

A mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 6, 2012, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Rev. Adam Streitenberger officiating. Interment will follow at Scioto Burial Park.Friends may call at Melcher Funeral Home on Sunday from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m.. A Recitation of the Rosary will be Sunday at 7:30 p.m.. Melcher Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
