Duane Hollen, 46
Duane Lee Hollen of Vance, Ala. died Tuesday, July 17, 2012, at age 46. He was born on Nov. 5, 1965, in Columbus, Ohio and spent most of his childhood years in Portsmouth, Ohio.
Duane proudly served his country in the United States Army and fought in Operation Desert Storm and Operation Iraqi Freedom. He had many hobbies, including writing poetry and learning foreign languages. Duane was a 2nd degree black belt in Kyokushin and Shotokan. He had a passion for scuba diving. His most recent dives included the Caribbean and the Coast of Egypt.
He is survived by his wife, Denise Hollen, daughter Sarah Nicole Trowbridge, son Zachary Daniel Hollen (wife Brittani), step-daughter Kimberly Lynn Cramer (husband Brian), mother Joyce Bradley, sister Lisa Hollen-Lens, and three grandchildren: Alex, Peyton, and McKenzie.
Memorial Service will be held July 28, 2012, at 4 p.m. at New Beginnings Church of God located at 227 Maple Street, W. Portsmouth, Ohio 45662.
