At its regular meeting on July 19, the Clay Local Board of Education acted on the following measures:

• Approved minutes of the June meeting,
• Accepted the financial reports,
• Approved necessary advances and transfers,
• Heard reports from principals Tony Piquet and Todd Warnock,
• Accepted and employee resignation,
• Employed Amy Berry, Noel Franke, and Kylon Crabtree as teachers,
• Employed Steve Williams as part-time Special Education Coordinator,
• Employed an OGT tutor,
• Approved a supplemental duty contract,
• Approved a staff member name change,
• Established curricular lab fees for 2012-13,
• Approved a transportation agreement for handicapped students,
• Approved membership renewal in the Coalition for Equity and Adequacy,
• Approved proposed handbook changes,
• Discussed the ALICE Program,
• Discussed the progress of the construction project; and,

• Held an executive session to discuss personnel issues.

The next regular Board meeting is scheduled for Aug. 16, at 7 p.m., in the board room.
