Local students on Miami University Dean’s List

Miami University students who achieved a 3.5 or better grade point average for second semester 2011-12 have been named to the dean’s list recognizing academic performance. Local students include Clayton Collier-Cartaino of Seaman, Ohio; Sarah R. Hardin of Seaman, Ohio; Jacob Bennett Ruggles of Franklin Furnace; Lauren Elaine Scott of Lucasville; Sarah Rose Clayton of Portsmouth; Jason Richard Ballengee of West Portsmouth; and Stephanie Grace Chaffin of Wheelersburg.

Local students graduate Miami University

Miami University awarded 3,219 degrees to students during spring commencement exercises Saturday, May 5 at Yager Stadium. Among them locally, Sean Michael Stone of Peebles received a Bachelor of Arts degree, Anna Carin Wright of Seaman received a B.S. in Kinesiology & Health degree, Clayton Collier-Cartaino of Seaman received a Bachelor of Science degree, Adam Kendall Abt of Coal Grove received a Bachelor of Arts degree, Joshua David Rhea of Franklin Furnace received a B.S. in Business degree, Megan Caroline Saab of Portsmouth received a Bachelor of Arts degree, Rachel Victoria Reed of Portsmouth received a B.S. in Business degree, and Jason Richard Ballengee of West Portsmouthreceived a Bachelor of Arts degree.

Bridwell completes doctorate at Life University

Thomas (Janet ) Bridwell of Concord, N.C. and Debra (Keith) Childers M.D of Douglas, Ga. announce the graduation of their son Alexander Bridwell from Life University, with a Doctor of Chiropractic Degree in Marietta, Ga. on June 15, 2012, Alex is the grandson of Patricia Thompson of Sciotoville and Ingrid Bridwell of Portsmouth.
