Waverly police make drug arrest

WAVERLY — Waverly police arrested a man after he was found passed-out in his vehicle Saturday.

According to Waverly Police Chief Larry Roe, patrolmen found Paul Jeffrey Waginger, 24, of Worthington, Ohio, passed out behind the wheel of a vehicle in the drive-thru at Tim Horton’s in Waverly on Saturday. Reportedly in his possession was 1,078 prescription blanks allegedly stolen from a doctor’s office in Ironton, seven stolen checks, and 17 and a half oxycodone tablets.

Waginger was arrested for deception to obtain dangerous drugs, felony receiving stolen property, felony forgery, aggravated possession of drugs, and OVI. He was take to the Scioto County Jail.

The case remains under investigation by the Waverly Police Department and the Ironton Police Department.
