PIKETON — USEC Inc.’s American Centrifuge Plant in Piketon is hiring to fill a number of positions over the next several months. Several full-time positions have already been posted on the company’s website.

The company recently entered into an agreement with the U.S. Department of Energy regarding a $350 million cooperative research, development and demonstration (RD&D) program for the American Centrifuge technology.

Angie Duduit of the Public Affairs Department at USEC Incorporated’s American Centrifuge Plant said the company is especially interested in applicants with experience in operations, maintenance, engineering, project controls, project management and security. Positions require the possession of, or the ability to obtain, a U.S. Department of Energy security clearance, and require a drug screening and participation in a random drug testing program.

Duduit said people interested in employment can visit them online at http://www.usec.com/careers to find out about USEC career opportunities at Piketon; how to apply online; to create a profile to receive alerts when positions are posted; and to find out about the benefits for working for USEC. She said applicants will need to apply online for each job opportunity in which they are interested. USEC does not keep resumes on file. Applications are only accepted online through USEC’s website and are not accepted via fax or mail. Applicants can go to http://www.usec.com/apply, and click on the dropdown menu by “Location.” Select the next-to-last option – (PORTQ-ACP Piketon-OH). There they can view all available jobs and apply online.

“USEC Inc. offers employees a highly competitive package of benefits including paid vacation based on length of service, paid personal leave, 11 paid holidays each year, paid sick leave, life insurance, health insurance, flexible spending accounts and a competitive 401(K) company matching program,” Duduit said.

She said anyone with questions about the application process can forward them by e-mail to acppiketonjobs@usec.com.
