Ricky Tackett, Sr., 64

Ricky L. Tackett, Sr., 64, of Lucasville, died Monday, July 2, 2012, at SOMC Hospice.

Born Dec. 4, 1947, in Portsmouth, son of the late Jesse and Rosalie Maxie Tackett, he was a member of IBEW Local #71 where he was a lineman, was a plumber and was a member of Mary Chapel United Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Donna Cottrell Tackett; one son, Rickey (Crystal) Tackett, Jr. of Lucasville; three daughters, Debby (Jon) Jenkins of Lucasville, Beverly (Zane) Murray of Lucasville, Lori (Bill) Groves of Lucasville; eleven grandchildren; three great grandchildren; two brothers, Randy (Virgie) Tackett of Lucasville, Jamie (Diane) Tackett of Wellston, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, July 6, 2012, at Erwin-Dodson-Allen Funeral Home in Minford with Arvil Murray, Jr., Zane Murray and Thurman Rigsby officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Franklin Furnace. Friends may call at the funeral home from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday and one hour prior to the service on Friday.
