Ilene Ward, 87

Ilene Fay Ward, 87, of Piketon, died Tuesday, July 3, 2012, at Piketon Nursing Home.

Born April 16, 1925, in Somerset, Ky., a daughter of the late George E. and Effie May Vaughn Foster, she was a seamstress for a Canvas Factory during WWII and attended Victory Chapel Church of Christ in Christian Union.

She is survived by two sons, Ron (Joan) Ward of Waverly, Joe (Karen) Ward of Minford; 10 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ted Ward; one son, Wallace Roy Ward and one grandson, Jeremy Ward.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m.Wednesday, July 4, 2012, at Erwin-Dodson-Allen Funeral Home in Minford with Rick Evans officiating. Burial will be at Jacobs Cemetery.
