Joyce Marie Heanning Anderson, 72, of South Shore, Kentucky, died Saturday, June 23, 2012, in South Shore Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in South Shore, Kentucky. She was born Feb. 16, 1940, in Cincinnati, Ohio, a daughter of the late William Heanning and Helen Heanning.

She was a housewife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister. She was a member of the St. Monica Catholic Church in New Boston, Ohio, the former president of South Shore American Legion Post #276 Auxiliary.

Preceded in death by her husband, Harry Anderson, Dec. 19, 2003.

Surviving are four sons, Jack Anderson, Henry Zapf, both of West Portsmouth Ohio, Chief Anderson of Kingston, Ohio, and Ed Zapf of Vanceburg, Kentucky; four daughters, Winds Edwards of Kingston, Ohio, Sherry Anderson of Clarktown, Ohio, Sandy Robbins of San Diego, California, and Joyce Porter of Portsmouth, Ohio; two brothers, James Heanning of Indiana and William Heanning of Cincinnati, Ohio; nineteen grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Funeral services 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 26, 2012, at the Roberson Funeral Home, with Rev. Rusty Larter officiating. Burial in Firebrick Cemetery, Firebrick, Kentucky.

Friends may call at the Roberson Funeral Home from 6 p.m. till 8 p.m. on Monday and from 9 a.m. till the funeral hour on Tuesday.
