Reda Faye Fannin, 78, of Twin Valley, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, June 4, 2012, at the SOMC Hospice Center. Born on Jan. 6, 1934, in Portsmouth, she was a daughter of the late Milford and Nellie Murphy Whisman. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Fannin; four brothers, James, Donald, Paul and Dennis Whisman; two sisters, Mabel Seagraves and Darlene Bair; and two grandchildren. Surviving are her children, Darrell (Deidra) Fannin, Claudia (Butch Conley) Holsinger, Kevin (Tracie) Fannin, and Jeff (Anita) Fannin, all of Lucasville, and Donna (Matt) Freeman and Janet (Pick Frye) Charles, all of Portsmouth; one brother, Kenny (Patty) Whisman of Portsmouth; Charlotte (Don) Lambert of Minford; several grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; one great-great grandson; and one sister-in-law, Harriett Whisman. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the BRANT FUNERAL HOME IN SCIOTOVILLE with Pastor Mark Bales officiating. Interment will be in McKendree Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Brant’s in Sciotoville from 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday and one hour prior to the service on Saturday. Memorial contributions may be made to the SOMC Hospice.
