Betty Elizabeth Brown, 87, of South Shore, Kentucky, died Friday, June 1, 2012, in South Shore, Kentucky, in South Shore Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in South Shore, Kentucky. She was born April 22, 1925, in Lewis Co., Kentucky, a daughter of the late Teddy Harr and Stella Spry Harr.
She was a homemaker, housewife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother and sister. She was of the Baptist Faith.
Preceded in death by her husbands, Millard McCleese and Carl Brown; three sons, Darrell and Mitchell McCleese and Anthony Brown; one daughter, Lou Ann Mollett; one brother, Enoch Harr; one sister, Louella Sexton; two grandchildren, Vance McCleese and Brandon Brown.
Surviving are six sons, Pete McCleese, David Harr both of Portsmouth, Ohio, Teddy McCleese of Wheelersburg, Ohio, Brady Brown of South Shore, Kentucky, Gregory Brown of Piketon, Ohio and Carlos Brown of Gainesville, Florida; two daughters, Gennie West of South Shore, Kentucky, and Judy Lacey of Dayton, Ohio; one brother, Alvis Harr of West Portsmouth, Ohio; nineteen grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services 1 p.m. Monday, June 4, 2012, at the Roberson Funeral Home, with Rev. David Robirds, officiating. Burial will be in the Brown Cemetery, South Shore, Kentucky. Friends may call at the Roberson Funeral Home from noon till the funeral hour on Monday.
