Greenup County Homemakers to host ‘Old Fashion Christmas’

GREENUP, Ky. — The Greenup County Homemakers will host an ‘Old Fashion Christmas’ Dec. 7 - 8 at the Jesse Stuart Lodge of Greenbo Lake State Resort Park.

Lora Pullin of the Greenup County Agency for Family and Consumer Sciences, said the Greenup County Homemakers clubs ‘Old Fasion Christmas’ is highly-anticipated event for the community.

“The Homemakers have been hosting this event since 1984, and we are looking forward to it,” Pullin said. “We always have such a great turn-out,” Pullin said.

According to Pullin, the event will include an array of Christmas decorations and lights.

Live musical entertainment will be provided by local artists, and students from surrounding elementary schools.

Admission for the event is free. Light refreshments will be provided. Open house times are Dec. 7 to 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Dec. 8 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

“We just hope that everyone will come out. The Homemakers work extremely hard each year to make sure this is an enjoyable event for the community,” Pullin said.
