Whatever plans you have for the next few days should take into account the possibility of some hazardous weather. According to the National Weather Service, multiple rounds of precipitation will move through the area Friday night leading to the possibility of minor flooding.
Precipitation will start out as rain. Sleet and freezing rain will also be possible tonight (Thursday) into Friday. That precipitation will change over to snow by Friday night. With it comes the potential for ice accumulations Thursday night into Friday and snow accumulations Friday night.
Temperatures are also expected to drop significantly over the latter course of the week.
Another storm system will impact the region Sunday into Monday. That system will bring a wintry mix to the area with ice accumulations possible.
