SCIOTOVILLE — The Sciotoville Community School District announced Tuesday that it will have its annual District-Wide Safety Lockdown Drill at the East Junior High and High School building, and Sciotoville Elementary Academy at 10 a.m. on Nov. 18.
Ohio Law require schools to hold one Lockdown Drill each school year, before Dec. 1.
“This drill is a training exercise for students and staff members in securing their facilities in case of an emergency,” said Sciotoville Superintendent Rick Bowman. “Our district is committed to making the safety and security of our students and staff our highest priority. We want residents and parents to be informed about the drill to avoid any confusion or alarm in the community when the exercise is taking place.”
