The No. 1 seeded Notre Dame Titans won their Division IV Southeast District Semifinals match against No. 4 Trimble in straight sets.
Playing at Jackson High School, Notre Dame won the first set by two, 26-24, before taking control of the remaining two sets. The Titans won the final two sets by double digits.
Brook Pierron led Notre Dame with 18 kills and two aces while also recording 10 digs defensively. Regan Kayser chipped in five kills in the winning effort.
Emma Gohman tied Pierron with two aces during the match for the Titans. Maddi Phillips recorded 10 digs to help the Notre Dame’s defensive effort.
Maggie Hoover led the Titans defensively with 13 digs while also recording 13 assists to help Notre Dame offensively.
The Titans play Saturday at 4 p.m. against No. 2 Waterford in the Division IV Southeast District finals at Jackson High School. The Wildcats swept No. 3 South Webster, 25-10, 25-19, 25-12, in the other Division IV Southeast District Semifinals match.
