Jax Theatre to host auditions for Dickens’ ‘A Christmas Carol’

WHEELERSBURG — As Charles Dickens once said, “There is nothing in the world so irresistibly contagious as laughter and good humor.”

Jax Theatre in Wheelersburg will be searching for sources of laughter and good humor Tuesday Oct. 15 and Wednesday, Oct. 16 when it holds auditions for Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol” at the theatre.

This will be the third annual musical production of the Dickens classic by Jax Theatre. Pre-registration is set to begin at 7 p.m. in the lobby with actual auditions beginning at 7:30 p.m. on the Jax Theatre stage. Those auditioning will be expected to sing a song acapella as well as read a small piece from the script. There will be an age limit of 13 and up, with limited roles for ages under the age of 13

Performance dates for A Christmas Carol will be Dec. 13, 14, 20, and 21.

Tech week will take place Dec. 9-12, those unable to attend everyday of tech week will be unable to participate in the production. For additional information, contact Jax Theatre at jaxtheatre@gmail.com.
