A drug bust has resulted in the confiscation of several weapons and cash, and the arrest of a Portsmouth man. Donricko Greene, 45, of 1332 Center St., is facing a charge of having weapons while under disability, a felony of the third degree.
Portsmouth Police Chief Robert Ware and Scioto County Sheriff Marty Donini said on Monday, at approximately 4:26 p.m., the Southern Ohio Drug Task Force with assistance from officers of the Portsmouth Police Department and detectives from the Scioto County Sheriff’s Office executed a narcotics-related search warrant at Greene’s residence. Upon a search of the residence, officers said they seized three handguns, approximately $1,210 cash, and evidence related to drug trafficking.
The case against Greene will be forwarded to the Scioto County Prosecutor’s Office to be presented to a Scioto County grand jury for the consideration of additional felony criminal charges.
“This case is still under investigation, and there will be additional charges filed,” Ware said.
Ware and Donini said anyone wishing to leave drug information for the Southern Ohio Drug Task Force should contact the Task Force tip line at 740-354-5656 or email firstname.lastname@example.org. All information will be kept confidential and anonymous.
