MINFORD — The commute home from school turned ugly Friday afternoon when a school bus carrying students from Scioto County Board of Developmental Disabilities was involved in a collision with another driver.
According to the Portsmouth Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the accident happened on Wheelers Mill Road in Minford minutes before 4 p.m. and the driver of the car, a 17-year-old female, was flown to Cabell Huntingon Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The OSHP dispatcher said those on the school bus were uninjured and the life flight of the injured teenager was more precautionary than serious.
Wheelers Mill Road was briefly closed but has reopened following clean up of the accident.
