Notre Dame defeated Western in straight sets to improve its record to 6-0, with four of those wins coming in conference play.

Brooks Pierron lead the way with nine kills, 14 points, four aces and 11 digs for the Titans.

Madi Phillips, Kiersten Angelos, Regan Kayser and Maggie Hoover also left their mark during the contest. Phillips recorded 10 digs while Kayser had eight kills. Angelos had 15 points, four aces and four digs while Hoover recorded 11 assists.

The Titans will play at Clay Tuesday.

Gallia def. Portsmouth

Gallia picked up an SEOAL game over Portsmouth with a straight set victory.

The Trojans did have three players shine despite the loss. Valerie Moorehead recorded 10 points. Jacqueline Meriwether had eight kills and five blocks, and Baleigh Bradley recorded six digs.

Portsmouth faces Warren at home Monday.

Clay def. Green

Clay improved its record to 4-3 with a straight sets victory over Green.

The Panthers were lead by Gabby Hickman who had 24 points and 14 assists. Annie Hopkins and Katie Redding both had 13 kills to help Clay’s effort.

Lexie Gilliland and Jessica Moore both recorded nine points while Gilliland added 10 kills to help the Panthers achieve victory.

The Panthers will play Notre Dame on Tuesday.

Northwest def. West

25-14, 25-17, 25-21

Northwest improved to 6-0 with a win over West in straight sets.

Paige Simon, Haley Vastine and Brook Miller led the way for the Mohawks. Simon had nine kills while Vastine recorded 13 kills. Miller led the team in assist with 24.

Northwest plays at West Union Monday.

Wheelersburg def. Minford

Wheelersburg beat Minford in five sets to improve its record to 4-0 with all four wins coming in conference play.

Marley Hanzel had 27 kills while Brooklyn Adams recorded 15 kills of her own for the Pirates. Meagan Swick helped Wheelersburg with 12 digs.

The Pirates play at the Unioto Invitational Saturday.

Waverly beat South Webster in straight sets to improve its record to 9-1 on the season.

Bri Wiget, Hannah Martin and Ashley Burton led the way for the Tigers. Wiget had 10 kills while Martin had 10 kills and two blocks. Burton had eight kills of her own and three blocks.

Waverly plays Northwest at home Tuesday.

Wheelersburg def. Unioto


Wheelersburg defeated Unioto by a score of 4-1 Thursday.

After dropping the opening set, the Pirates reeled off four straight matches, including the last two singles matches and the two doubles matches.

Megan Myers began the comeback for Wheelersburg by winning the second singles match in straight sets without losing a game.

The Pirates play Valley at home Tuesday.
