Trojans improve record to 5-1

The Portsmouth tennis team defeated Jackson Monday to improve its record to 5-1 on the season.

Ali Miller got the Trojans off on the right foot with an opening match win.

The Ironladies fought back after Kelsie Henderson and Maddison Wires won their singles matches.

Trailing 2-1 in the best of five series, Portsmouth won the two scheduled doubles matches to claim the victory. Alex Scott and Allison Raies won the first doubles match while Molly Kammler and Mazie Lawson took the second contest.

The Trojans travel Wednesday to Athens.
