Trojans improve record to 4-1

Portsmouth defeated Hillsboro, 4-1, in a best of five tennis match Saturday.

The Trojans got off to a fast start, winning two of the three singles matches. Ali Miller won the opening match for Portsmouth without dropping a game.

After Hillsboro tied the contest at 1 a piece, Chelsea Cartee gave the Trojans the final lead as she won her singles match, 6-3, 7-6.

The Trojans sweep both doubles events on their way to the victory.

Portsmouth returns home Monday as they welcome Jackson to town. The Trojans are 4-1 on the young season.
