KDMC offers concussion clinic

King’s Daughters Medical Center Ohio will offer a Concussion Clinic from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 30 in the hospital lobby, 2001 Scioto Trail in Portsmouth.

The program is free to coaches, athletic directors and others involved in all levels of athletics. Light refreshments will be served. Program topics and speakers will include:

  • An Athlete’s Experience, Gerald Cadogan, offensive line coach, Portsmouth High School and former NFL player (Carolina, Cincinnati, San Diego, Philadelphia)
  • Medicine on the Sidelines, Gerry Trinidad, M.D., orthopaedic surgeon, team doctor for Portsmouth Trojans, Portsmouth West Senators and Shawnee State Bears, and Dave Coburn, Assistant LPT, athletic trainer, Tri-State Rehab
  • Using ImPACT Testing to Establish Baselines, Measure Recovery, Andy Gilliland, M.D.
  • A Mother’s Story, Amy Bianco, RN
