This summer the Tri-State will get a visit from the World Famous Clydesdales. These majestic horses are coming to help celebrate Eagle Distributing Company, which Anheuser-Busch recently honored with the Ambassadors of Excellence Award.

“Eagle Distributing Company was one of only six distributors in the entire network of more than 600 independent distributors nationwide to win this prestigious designation of Ambassador,” said Casey Hill, president of Eagle.

This award is the highest honor Anheuser-Busch can bestow on one of its independent distributor partners. It is the culmination of a scoring process conducted over a three year period meant to set the highest standards of excellence for distributors.

The Clydesdales will visit from July 11 to July 13, making appearances in Ironton on July 11, Ashland on July 12 and Huntington on July 13. They will deliver the “Big Jake” Award, which is a “bronze Clydesdale statue that makes our designation as Ambassador of Excellence official.” said Hill. “This is a celebration for the entire Tri-State, the loyal retailers and customers that make this possible.”

Eagle Distributing Company is one of three distributorships that form Triple Crown Beverage Group. Also included in this family of distributors are Eagle of Huntington and Spriggs of Ironton. Though these three distributors can trace their roots back to 1934, it was only in 2009 that they began working together in a consolidated effort.

“To win such an award from the world’s largest brewer is acknowledgement of the great consolidated team we have put together,” said Nick Williams, general manager of the three companies. “We truly have one of the best teams in the beer distribution business.”

More information on the Clydesdales schedule of events in July will be released soon.
