Cyclist arrested on drug charges

Sunday afternoon Portsmouth police officers said they pulled over a man on a bicycle and found he had an outstanding warrant, and 21.7 grams of marijuana. Jeffrey D. Logan, 24, of 1615 Seventh St., upstairs, Portsmouth, was taken to the Scioto County Jail on the outstanding warrant, and was issued a citation for possession of marijuana.

Police said Logan was operating a bicycle at Gallia and Young Street, when he reportedly ran a red traffic light in the 1200 block of Young Street. Dispatch reported to officers that Logan had an outstanding warrant from the Scioto County Sheriff’s Office for a probation violation. After the warrant was confirmed, Logan was arrested, and upon searching him, they said the found marijuana which showed a field-weight of 21.7 grams.
