Authorities looking for missing woman

Another woman has been reported missing and authorities have listed her name in a national directory. Tiffany Dawn Bertram, 26, was reported missing by her boyfriend, Melvin Garcia of 311 C Noel Lane, West Portsmouth on Sunday.

According to the Scioto County Sheriff’s Office report, Garcia told deputies Bertram, who also goes by the name Tiffany Dawn Ruiz Hernandez, left his apartment to go to her brother’s house in Wayne Hills. He said she was driving a gold colored car. Garcia told deputies he was concerned about her because she left her three children with him and did not return. Garcia said he went to a neighbor’s house to try to call her, but got her voicemail.

Sheriff’s dispatch ran her name and came up with a 30-day tag registration for a 1998 Mercury. Meanwhile, deputies went to Wayne Hills and couldn’t find the car. Dispatch also tried her phone and they too got only voicemail.

Her name was entered into the National Crime Information Center (NCIC) database.

Portsmouth Police continue to search for Megan Lancaster, approximately 25 years old, who maintains an address in Wheelersburg. She was last seen in the Wheelersburg area on or about April 3. Since then, posters have been placed in strategic locations in the Scioto County area with photos of Lancaster reminding area residents that all information, no matter how small, is needed by authorities.
