Motorcycle crash leaves driver critical

LUCASVILLE — Authorities believe alcohol was a factor in a motorcycle crash in Valley Township on Thursday that left the driver in critical condition.

According the Ohio State Highway Patrol, a motorcycle operated by Jeremy Scott Legg, age 39, on County Road 25 at about 2:51 a.m. Thursday when he reportedly drove off the left side of the road and struck a ditch. The vehicle overturned and came to a rest near the road.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol responded, and Legg was flown to Cabell-Huntington Hospital in Huntington, W.Va., where he was reported in critical condition Thursday afternoon. The Highway Patrol reports indicate that alcohol is believed to have been a factor, and Legg had no driver’s license to operate either a vehicle or a motorcycle.
