As the days tick down to the 2013 Ohio High School Athletic Association Boys Basketball Tournament draw, the fourth of seven Associated Press polls were released Monday evening.
Locally, Ironton and Oak Hill are still in the Top 10 in Division III. The Fighting Tigers, who defeated Akron Hoban Saturday night 73-64, are seventh with 98 points and two first-place votes. They are 113 points behind No. 1 Cincinnati Summit Country Day.
The Oaks slide continues as they are now 10th in the state with 18 points after suffering a 47-42 loss last Tuesday night to South Webster. For the second-straight week, no one outside of the Top 10 received more than 12 points.
In Division II, SEOAL leader Warren is still on the outside looking in, this week checking in at No. 12 with 23 points. The Warriors are six points away from 10th-place Franklin.
Along with CSCD, Columbus Northland, Dayton Thurgood Marshall and St. Henry also retain top spots for yet another week. The boys basketball tournament draw will take place Feb. 10.
The girls poll will be released Tuesday evening with the tournament draw taking place this Sunday.
