The Scioto County Sheriff’s Office, in conjunction with detectives from the Southern Ohio Drug Task Force, arrested Michael V. Holsinger, 40, Friday afternoon at his residence in Minford for Illegally Manufacturing Methamphetamine.
According to Scioto County Sheriff Marty V. Donini, an employee from the Scioto County Health Department was responding to Holsinger’s residence at 1481 Taylor Hill Rd. in Minford and requested the assistance of a Sheriff’s Deputy.
The Deputy arrived and upon coming into contact with Holsinger and entering his residence, the Deputy discovered a clandestine Methamphetamine lab. Task Force detectives were called to the scene to investigate and dismantle the lab.
Detectives dismantled One Pot Methamphetamine lab and found a Hydrogen Chloride Gas Generator, acid and many other items used in the process of making meth. Detectives also found what they believed to be a suspected Methamphetamine which had settled into a liquid solution in a mason jar.
Holsinger was placed in the Scioto County Jail and his being held on $25,000 bond. He is charged with the second degree felony of Illegally Manufacturing Methamphetamine and the third degree felony of Illegal Assembly or Possession of Chemicals for the Manufacture of Methamphetamine.
Holsinger is to be arraigned in Portsmouth Municipal Court Wednesday, Dec. 26 at 9 a.m.
The case against Holsinger will go to the Scioto County Prosecutors’s Office to be presented to a Scioto County Grand Jury for the consideration of additional felony criminal charges.
